What You Will Learn   (In-Person + Online Studies)

Dive deeper into the form and function of asanas from various categories. Learn about their common foundation and how to build upon it in order to achieve correct alignment, advanced variations and modifications for different levels, styles, and needs.

Learn teaching skills, cueing, sequencing, corrections and adjustments. Practice teaching and design original classes. Receive detailed feedback and become a confident instructor.

Training in Bali,Indonesia

7 days 50 hours, take place in Bali, Indonesia. This includes daily guided traditional ashtanga , vinyasa practice, pranayama and meditation, teaching practice, special workshops for aerial, acro and SUP yoga, special events like ecstatic dance, sound healing and detoxifying sauna excursions. You will also review and go deeper into the online studies, analytics, anatomy and philosophy.

Additional Studies - Training Online

As a special bonus you will receive a 100 Hour Online Ashtanga Teacher Training, which includes the highest level instruction covering all topics to further deepen your knowledge. These online studies are optional, but if you do complete them you will receive an additional certificate.

Certificate

Since 2014 ULU Yoga has certified over a thousand new instructors and is accredited by Yoga Alliance as a RYS-200/300/500 hour school. Upon successfully completing this course you will receive a 50 Hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training certificate, which RYT can register on Yoga Alliance as Continuing Education.

Bingin Beach, Uluwatu , Bali

Bingin Beach, Uluwatu is one of the most beautiful parts of Bali with stunning limestone cliffs, turquoise waters and world famous surfing. Bingin is a hip little village like Ubub with bohemian vibes, posh cafes, boutique shops and live music all within walking distance. Bingin also has fresh clean air and far less traffic than Ubud and Canggu!

Accommodation

Bingin Lodge is a delightful resort across the street from the yoga shala. There are 18 rooms, a beautiful swimming pool, and gardens all around. The rooms are spacious and clean with large comfy beds, a.c., flat screen TV, private bathroom, toiletries, daily cleaning. The lobby has a pool table and other games. There is a back terrace to hang out after class for relaxing, self-practice, dancing, study and bonfire ceremonies. There are dozens of amazing accommodation options nearby for all budgets ranging from cheap dorms to luxury villas to beachfront bungalows. You can book a package with ULU Yoga at Bingin Lodge or just pay the tuition and reserve your own accommodation.

Yoga Shala

The shala is located at Purnama Bodyworks, a huge beautiful space, quiet, private, surrounded by nature, just 5 minutes walk to several great restaurants and shops, and just a 10 minute walk to the beach.

Diet & Nutrition

Packages with accommodation include a delicious vegan smoothie bowl for breakfast, which can be modified for any dietary needs. For lunch and dinner you can sign up for onsite vegan catering, starting at just $3/meal. The shala also has a small kitchen where we will host some Ayurvedic cooking classes. There are also many amazing restaurants nearby just 5-10min walk including: Cashew Tree, Gooseberry, Casa Asia, Chela, French Bakery, Mu Resort, Lucky Fish, El Kabron, Shaka Riki, Rolling Fork, Sugar Rock, Nourish, Drifter, The Loft and many more.

Beach

Everyday includes a fabulous free trip somewhere. There are so many wonderful beaches to explore! Bingin beach, Dreamland beach, Balagan beach, Padang beach, Thomas beach.

Dance

Each night this course there is optional free ecstatic dance. ULU Yoga created an amazing new style of dancing with with white feathers that glow under UV lights and other special effects to help transport you to another dimension. These tools are highly liberating and allow you to bloom with uninhibited self-expression.

Sauna & Ice Bath

This course includes one free entry to the luxurious Istana sauna, a world class detox and wellness centre overlooking the gorgeous Uluwatu coastline. The Istana features an infrared sauna, dry sauna, steam sauna, hot plunge, cold plunge and infinity pool. Continuing Education

Beginners are also welcome to join. The style of this course is more oriented towards modifying poses and simplifying the series to create a more widely accessible and enjoyable practice.

YOGA PRACTICE

Each morning and evening includes ashtanga, vinyasa yoga practice plus meditation and pranayama. You will be guided by a senior instructor and receive adjustments from an assistant to further improve your practice. There is also 2x week aerial, acro, yin and SUP yoga.

ANALYTICS

Receive detailed explanation of core yoga poses and sequences. Learn about their common foundation and how to build upon it in order to achieve correct alignment and technique. Learn modifications to accommodate different levels, serve special needs and achieve advanced variations.

TEACHING PRACTICE

WORKSHOPS

In addition to traditional ashtanga training, this course features special workshops mixing ashtanga with aerial, acro and yin yoga. With the aid of an aerial swing you can easily achieve advanced poses and build a totally new sense of strength, balance and flexibility. With acro you can apply ashtanga alignment to master a higher level of balance. Also yin yoga is the perfect compliment to rest after an intensive practice, plus open the body to its fullest potential.

I had the best experience with Ulu! The setting was on an island in Thailand- the resort was right next to the beach, and the weather was beautiful!!! There was a breakfast buffet everyday, which was amazing. And the beach (Haad Yao) was so picturesque. There were several instructors, and they were all amazing and knowledgeable! I loved how they put an emphasis on safety and how the poses are for each person's body. The course was a lot more intense than I had anticipated- but you learn a lot, and you get a lot of teaching practice. Change your life for the better!

You simply fly into Denpasar (Ngurah Rai International Airport) and get a taxi to your accommodation. The average cost is $20 and takes 30min. Once you are checked in you can rent a motorbike. Or you can order rides via Gojek or Grab. You also get a SIM card at the airport for the internet. 

There are many shops nearby, so you really don't need to bring anything. But the essentials include: water bottle, notebook, sunscreen, sandals, water socks, sunglasses. The yoga shala has yoga mats, aerial swings, water and tea. It's recommended to get a SIM card at the airport on arrival for good internet access. It's cheap and then you're always connected.
